Benjamin can be a shy and quiet guy, but that's usually due to him reading or researching for class. If he's not stuck in a book, he's quite chatty and ready to meet new people. Ben loves to teach, cook, and listen to music. He loves his job and takes it very close too heart. If a student ever needs any help he is willing to step in a tutor them. He's  a giver, passionate, caring, and funny. He does have some flaws, well things he considers flaws. He has slightly pointy ears, almost elf like, which he got teased a lot as a kid, along with a large nose. He learned later that these things didn't matter and only learned to love them and not be so insecure, but he has moments when he does worry what people might be thinking.

Benjamin was born in Cardiff. His father, Henry, is a dentist and a muggle. His mother is, Kate, is a Professor of Charms at a small local magic school. Benjamin grew up in a well rounded home, always learning both sides of his family's way of life. He always loved his magical side more, since living as a muggle was common place in Cardiff. When he turned five, his mother had another baby. Benjamin had a little sister, which he adored. He felt so protective of her and was always helping his mother, even at his young age.

At the age of eleven, his father acquired the family dentistry in London. Henry packed up his family and they all went to a much bigger and more rounded city. Kate got another professor position at a larger school.  Ben's father was very supportive of this aspect of his wife's magical life. He actually loved it and sometimes wished he was magic born.  Benjamin quickly received his letter to attend.

Benjamin enrolled in several class, but excelled in Divination. He was good with numbers, but he was really good at reading people. Some thought he was psychic, but he was just really good at what he did. He was so good his teacher even let him teach a few lesson, which only caused a spark within him to teach. He earned top honors in all his classes and went on to become a professor. He taught as, what his old school called, a passport teacher. Which only meant he traveled to many schools teaching just one semester at each. This allowed Benjamin to learn more divination practices from the many cultures he encountered. 

After being abroad for a couple years, Ben received  letter one day to Kai's Academy. He had always wanted to travel there and learn, but the school had been closed. He was thrilled to get the news and quickly got himself to the island.
